Labour Day – Circuit Breaker COVID’19

Finally another public holiday in Singapore and yet this time we cannot have any activity outdoors due to the lockdown in Singapore. That is sad, and it seems the World is heading back to the past where Silence is Golden, the Peaceful days. So what exactly is Labour Day? I want to find out and read up in Wikipedia.

Labour Day is an annual holiday to celebrate the achievements of workers. Labour Day has its origins in the labour union movement, specifically the eight-hour day movement, which advocated eight hours for work, eight hours for recreation, and eight hours for rest.

So how do I spend my labour day at home? Blogging and watching educational, inspirational videos or vlogs by those famous and popular Youtuber like Casey Neistat. I am learning how to speak in front of a camera and it feels very awkward. Maybe I can do some videography or photography hacks which we can use at home.

So enjoy your Labour day!

During this long weekend, what are the activities you can do yourself or with your kids? Here are some that you can consider.

  • Crafts for Kids (Origami)
  • Board games (Jenga)
  • Painting (Unleash your child or your potential)
  • Watch Inspirational videos on TED
